This was Great!!!Alexa is a young woman, who grew up in a children's home. She has always felt lonely as she found it difficult to bond with anyone. They thought she was weird. She was in fact a Telepath, She soon learnt to hide it & not tell anyone of her gift. She makes a comfortable, but lonely life for herself. On a night out, with work colleagues, she meets the very handsome Ethan. She feels inexplicably drawn to him. That's when this thrilling story really begins. It made me laugh, get angry & really made me cry, with sadness & joy.S.Simone Chavous, really draws you into the story. It is exciting and hard to put down. The love story between Alexa,Ethan & their baby girl Chloe is heartwarming yet sad. I loved their characters & Ethan's family are wonderful to Alexa, making her feel like part of a family again. However their is a shadow over them, Will their love be enough to change Fate......A very well written story with exceptionally steamy sex scenes.A definite must read.

I enjoyed this 1st instalment of 'the fate series' despite it being a bit predictable in parts. The characters are endearing and down to earth in the main but I found myself rooting for them towards the end and hoping for a happy ending ( very unlike me lol) I wont go into much detail and spoil it for future readers but a good recommendation is that I have bought the 2nd book in this series and have nearly finished it in a couple of days so that speaks for itself. As my review title says this is what I call 'easy reading' .......a good bit of fantasy escapism but easy to pick up and put down. If the series keeps on developing as it has so far I shall buy the others and see where the story takes me.............................................

This is one of those books that you say you'll read one more chapter and then go sleep or whatever you need to do, but you don't. I couldn't put my Kindle down because I had to know what would happen next. Had I known what this book was about I wouldn't have chosen to read and review it. I don't like sad books. (Going to need tissues.) This book is about a different kind of vampires who can pass as human if they are careful. They only need blood once a month so they eat human food and can walk in the sun light. Alexa has tried everything to stop her daughter from crying all the time. Her last hope is a Dr. Kline. He is known to help babies who cry all of the time. Dr. Kline gives Alexa supplements to give Chloe before feeding her and they work. Alexa has a secret. Ethan, Chloe's father, has an even bigger secret and because of it he left Alexa. This the first book of 3 and the others are available at Amazon. Ms Chavous has also made a boxed set of the 3 books.

The book goes back and forth in time quite a bit to start with in order to enable the reader to fully understand our hero and heroine. This could have been confusing and yet it was so well done as to seem effortless, which I would imagine is far from the case. The love scenes are quite heated but I would prefer not to see the word 'stalk' used in such a context especially not four times in one book. But I'm nit-picking. I really enjoyed this book up until the end but then it got a little bit tricky for me. I can't say too much here without serious spoilers but my enjoyment of this book is hinging on what happens next. I admit to having used reviews to peek ahead and I am rather hesitant about where this series is going. That being said I enjoyed this book enough to give this series a chance. Certainly worth a read, although the subject matter has been overdone you can't fault this version of a well loved theme.
